hGH in Female Renal Patient was created by Steenkamp
Hi Guys

So my mom has been on Dialysis for 4 years now, she had a gastric bypass done 15 years ago,

the problem she has now is muscle wasting,

because of the gastric bypass she doesn't absorb all the food she eats so her protein levels are horrible, cant give her whey shakes because of fluid intake so have her on a solid diet of a lot of proteins trying to get her to eat at least 100g of protein a day, then everything went haywire gastric bypass patients do not respond well we all know how bad we fart on a high protein diet and she has a free flow lol so I have her on probiflora every day and now that's settled

She has spoken to the nephrologist and he has no objections on the use of HGH but what i would like to know is what do you guys think?

Age: 52
Height : 1.82
Weight 72+- goes up and down constantly

Are you sure ? Because that "friend" could get into some serious trouble for prescribing something off label.

Sorry to hear about your mom. HGH can only help her - I would get it asap.

I can imagine how painful and tiring any kind of exercise must be, but it's essential that she keeps as mobile as possible to maintain her muscle mass.

i Know and the hard part is to keep her motivated, she see's the physio twice a week but i think its time to get her to a bio-kinetics one near our house that uses a swimming pool to have them do low intensity exercise

any ideas as to how to increase her protein intake? cant drink shakes as the water aint good, cant damage her kidneys as she had a bilateral nephrectomy 3 years ago so no kidneys,

Are you monitoring how much protein per day she is getting in? I would think that increasing her protein intake could do more harm than good as there is a limit to how much protein someone with kidney disease can handle. As long as you have been advised what that limit is...

because her kidneys where removed there is some connection between your kidneys and liver that makes blood now the signal is gone as the kidneys are gone so she is on i think the name is Darbepoetin alfa

Darbepoetin alfa /dɑːrbəˈpɔɪtᵻn/ is a synthetic form of erythropoietin. It stimulates erythropoiesis and is used to treat anemia, commonly associated with chronic renal failure and cancer chemotherapy

The problem with this is her absorption rate had a gastric bypass so she doesn't absorb most of the protein she eats the nephrologist said she can eat as much protein as she likes as it cant do any harm at this stage

Eggs have the highest protein bioavailability of any whole foods, and they are easier to get down and digest than most alternatives.

If her body isn't absorbing protein because of other hormonal related reasons which is probably the case, then HGH could very well help I would think.

can be I'm no expert, i just know if your small intestine is 7meters long and they shorten it to 70 cm your absorption will be poor,

how should she be dosing it though? i have never used HGH so I'm not clued up

Maybe it would be a good idea to give her amino acids (BCAA) which can be absorbed easily without any digestion needed. BCAA's are the main building blocks of our muscle after our body is done digesting our protein sources.

HGH dosing - hard to advise for someone with your mom's condition. I would say 1.5-2IU/day.

This really requires a specialist for advice but easier said than done.
