Pathologists that won't give me crap

Hey gents,

I am on the look-out for a pathology lab that I don't need a doctor's script for, for doing the regular bloods. Now some of you have had good success with Ampath, but my nearest one has always turned me down. Perhaps the different labs of the same pathologist have different rules?
So I'm guessing going for a smaller lab will have greater success.

So far I'm thinking one of these:
Pierre van der Walt & Ass.
Vermaak and Partners

Any other recommendations?

I have gone to the Lancet at Sandton Mediclinic and did not require any Dr recommendations.

So give your nearest Lancet a call and see. However I recall something about someone saying their nearest Lancet required a Dr to have referred you.

Lancet will not have a problem.. Just say you have been diagnosed some years back and you like to keep a personal eye on your levels twice to three times a year.. (if they ask)

Ag I said Ampath at the top, meant to say Lancet. Sorry for misunderstanding. But yeah, don't even try Ampath. Thinking about it, I'll make a post about them on HelloPeter. Absolutely never again.

I always test at the same Lancet lab and in general I have no problems but sometimes you get one of the nurses that help you and for some reason they are strict on having a script. It's the nurses Furk! The nurses tell you to Furk off!

I tried to goto Ampath and they said no Dr recommendation, no blood tests and referred me to Lancet :lol:

Lancet Pretoria East Hospital is very friendly and they allow self-referrals.

Vermaak and Vernote also turned me away saying i need a Dr. script. Lancet just around the corner had no issues (Unitas, 1st floor, down with staircase as you come in at main doors).

Liquid has my support if they bring out GW again. I've used it many times, refereed others to it, and will purchase it immediately if they produce it again.
