Staying on steroids

Im curious to know the following as ive heard some of the guys do it.
What is the risks of staying on steroids and skipping PCT, like doing a proper cycle then going to TRT dosage test for a couple of months before cycling again?
Will you get less sensitive and require higher dosages or will the TRT dose act as natural testosterone levels and give your body a break? and what is the health implications compared to Cycle and PCT?

Health implications: If you take PCT and breaks you get to use your own testicles again and produce your own Test. If you continue taking exogenous Test your body will learn that there is no demand for itself to produce test so it'll diminish, and eventually, in all likelihood, stop dead. If you are in a "natural state" (no exogenous hormones) then your body will regulate hormones for male homoeostasis. If you shut off your HPTA you are going to have to add hormones or encourage glands to secrete hormones to keep your levels normal. So theoretically you can keep your testes livin' and producing hormones by jabbing hCG weekly. I'd like to see you do the maths and see how long you can afford that though.
Hope this is what you meant with your Q and that it sheds some light.

It is probably worse than getting a tattoo you hate as that can be removed, once your body stops producing test and has become accustomed to that you probably won't ever produce decent amounts of test naturally again. Even some of the bigger guys still come off it and take breaks.
@Furk, isn't that what you are doing in essence - although more out of necessity than just wanting to?
There is no difference between someone who is on TRT doing it vs someone who has a decent enough amount of test naturally moving over to doing it, right?

Dammit I swear there were a couple of threads like these the past few months, Juicy please try the search function, or even take a look at my thread as I have answered similar questions, here: TRT Thread
Yes, I am a TRT patient and and your comparison to a tattoo is a good way to explain the concept of regret. That's strong word, let it sink in. I am testosterone because my pituitary gland went on strike and only comes to work if exogenous hCG is introduced. I pin cypionate every 4 days and I it's already becoming a drag. Regarding the blasting and cruising, I can imagine it will become really challenging(tempting) to keep your cruise dose at therapeutic levels and not bump it up slightly.
IMHO only consider blasting or cruising if you are in for long haul, like you plan to compete (and make monetary gains also), or you've got a deal to be a fitness model and you need to maintain certain standards to keep getting gigs etc.

Ok well while I have your attention...
Do you know which steroid/ steroid group raises hematocrit levels the most?

49% might be in the 'normal' range for men but only a small percentage will be at 0.49, and that will put you at an increased risk of heart disease or a stroke. Not too hectic but enough to effect your heart long term. I have never had a haematocrit of 0.57 that I know of from blood work. That is dangerous.
Check this pic out from a testosterone 'dose response' study and see how haematocrit changes at 600mg/week vs lower doses:

How many people were involved in the study, because those readings are not even close on myself and a few other people I know that I've had tested during cycle and long term. The only person who came close to those numbers a were on anabolics year round for over 15 years and developed polycythemia only close to that 15 year mark.. he has been using gear for well over 20 years

But closer to home, in Doctari's study he did on 14 national level SA bodybuilders a few years ago the average haematocrit post contest was 49%. That's as legit as the data comes. Ask him for a copy or I can upload it somewhere for you. The problem for guys who spend half the year or more on cycle (myself included), is that since the life span of red blood cells is almost 4 months, it can take a long time for haematocrit to drop to pre steroid use levels.

Muscleaddict wrote: 60 guys. The older you are the more your haematocrit is effected by T and the study was done on older men so... 50% isn't insanely high considering. I posted the pic more to show guys what can happen even at 600mg/week.

I will create a new topic so we don't clutter this thread. Most of the animal EQ studies I have seen are pretty useless because the doses used were very low but I will link to one that is pretty interesting.

Very interesting thread. And I am in the same boat here as you Furk. My Pituary also went on strike.
