Pain from Cyp? was created by Amos
Hi all.
I started my first ever cycle on monday and its a test cyp only cycle. I injected it on my right glute and its been paining since monday till this day. I don't know if its because I injected into virgin muscles or what. I've also been getting a little feverish and have been getting the chills. But the fever symptoms have gone away now.
Is this normal for a first time test cyp user? Or should I be worried?

Yes that was a great thread. Definitely check it out!

Did you check that you didn't go through a blood vessel? How much blood came out when you pulled out the needle?

It is probably just a bit bruised. I wouldn't worry too much, but keep us updated.

Today I will do what I never thought possible!

No, I don't think I hit a blood vessel or artery. I watched countless vids on how to do IM injection on yourself, one of those vids provided by Oupiel.
And Thanks, I checked out that thread and its exactly the same problem I have. Hope it will go away as I get used to the injection.

Test Flu - Could explain the feverish experience.

Also, make sure you're high enough and far enough out in the upper, outer quadrant of the glute.
You should feel no pain when clenching your glutes after a shot, if you do, maybe too low.

Make sure the muscle is relaxed when you inject and don't flinch & clench, that just makes it worse.
Stand or lie with that sides leg bent and relaxed.

I don't stab it or dart it in. I find my mark and just push it in slowly.
Fist bit burns, then I have no pain.

I had this happen to me on Saturday. More than the usual pin prick of blood cam out (little run) So I pressed the spot with the Alcohol swab.
Im thinking that I nicked a vessel on the way out since it formed a little marking/bruising around the pin and is still a bit tender today.
More than likely just me being a sloppy hand at injecting.

Not feeling feverish or anything, just got that slight concern in the back of my mind.

hey, well now talking about blood that came out after pulling the needle out,

i once injected a fellow member on the forum and when i pulled out the needle it
was a fountain that came out, onto the floor and his pants. ( did aspirate and it was fine)
also he didn't really complain about pain or anything.

My issue landed up being a combination of going too far to the center of my glute rather than the outer top corner and also just my method of injecting, was tender and the bruise stuck around for most of the week, but its all healed up now.
