EOD injection / seriously uncomfortable ?? was created by GFORCE
Hi Guys ,
Don't often post as the history on this forum usually has the answer by one of the Pro's , and don't want to waste your time with the same questions over and over , this time round I couldn't find what I was looking for though.
As part of my cycle ,I'm taking Test P and requires pinning every second day , I'm pinning in the Glutes , I tried in the thighs once and couldn't walk for a week , so playing it safe now.
Every other day in the opposite butt has not been a cool experience either though, when the time comes to pin in the same spot as I did a few days ago , the pain is not a joke and the area is permanently inflamed and naturally trying to recover I expect, it's so uncomfortable that It's a mission to sit down on a chair as the pressure makes it worse . I can't see myself completing the cycle I'm on due to the pain and discomfort . Is this normal , will the muscle eventually get used to the frequency of these administrations or will I have to sweat it out until the cycle finishes . Is there anything I can do to make this experience less harsh.
I'm sure one of the Pro's can give me some good advice .
Eiisshhh not fun. :pinch:
Thanks

What is your cycle history? Are your glutes still 'virgin' muscle? ...
You will experience some PIP for your first few weeks if it is, and unfortunately your using prop which is EOD, as you said, you pinned quads and couldnt walk, the same in happening in your glutes making it uncomfortable.
For prop i pin 4 sites, glutes and delts.. really helps. But your body will soon get used to it.
Also another point to mention, what is your pinning protocol? Do you pin slowly, and massage thoroughly after? I will often massage the injection site for a few minutes after and this has helped me in the past with pain. in the meantime, get some anti inflammatory meds. It will help aswell.

Hey bud, you need to rotate your pin sites...
I suggest you give the glutes a rest and pin the quads and delts.
The hip is also a good site.
When pinning the quads and delts try going with a 23g 1" needle (can even use 3/4" on the delts)
Wipe area with alcohol pad and allow to dry before inserting the needle. Insert in one fluent motion, quickly. This should minimise pain too.
Another tip is to hold the syringe in your fist for a minute or so to warm the compound up before pinning.
Gently rub the area in a circular motion to disperse the compound once you are done.
It's odd that you couldn't walk from the quad pin, I find it completely painless. Did you pin the vastus medialus
Aim for the centre of the vastus laterus.
(apologies for spelling

Thanks Guys , as usual , 2 replies , and good solid advice already without any BS!
This is my second cycle,3 weeks in ,
I do rotate the pin sites , but the upper quarter of the Glute site that's permissible for injection site is generally the inflamed area, so it's left and right , those are my rotation areas , I also do release the syringe very slowly and once done I do massage the site for a few minutes to relieve the pain.
Excuse my ignorance , but what is PIP, is that the affected area that has been pinned and does it refer to the ball like swelling of the area ?
I'm gonna give the delts a shot on my next pin with the correct gauge as per advised, in the mean time I'll do some research for the thigh areas you are referring to , ( don't worry about the spelling , I don't even know what those areas on the quads are )
THANKS AGAIN

With the quads it's a matter of dividing it into three equal parts between the knee and waist.
The middle third is where you will pin, on the outside muscle. Aim for centre.
The smaller gauge needle will force you to inject slower too.
With delts, the first time is quite weird as you only have use of one hand, so be prepared for this and position your hand in such a way that will allow you to aspirate and pin.
Have a steady hand bud...
Pip is an acronym for "Post Injection Pain "
