Hi Guys

Donating blood while on cycle lowers RBC count, but what i would like to know is whether or not there is any danger to the recipient of my high RBC blood.

This is the only thing keeping me from donating. I live Do upon others as you would like to be done upon yoourself......

Regards :)

Your blood is screened carefully before going on to be used in patients. If it is not safe ot will be disposed of.
So no need to worry.
On long Equi cycles donate purely to reduce the count - not for the warm and fluffy feeling...

When it hurts... That's when i start counting, because that's when it starts to count.

I donate blood and the person that receives it will be more than happy with what he/she gets. Pure super human shit. :P

Extremely dangerous if somebody has polycythaemia, and if somebody is clotting and a blood specialist is trying to save his/her life.

If it is screened then it should be tossed if I was doing the checks..
