Most of these forums work off Templates and if it isn't a standard header/footer layout option it can be quite a process.

I do recall you requesting this all ready? I'm sure if it is possible and convenient he might look at adding it. You also don't want a site too 'cluttered' with options, remember the saying KISS (keep it simple stupid).

yah but since they changed the layout you have to go back to forums then recent posts....:sick: ...all about convenience bud... :laugh:

I second that, i used that latest posts button all the time. Now i have to load forum and then recent posts. A bit of a pain

This is not really the place to discuss this though. The problem is that the forum we use now is completely different from the older one. Reason I did this upgrade is to get ready for the next generation of Joomla.

Currently there is no module to add the "Recent posts" to every page, but there will be one soon. This is only the RC1 release and I'm sure the stable release will have all the goodies. On the other hand I'm not even sure that I want to add more modules, because I feel the site is right on the limit of becoming crowded. I'm a very big supporter of the KISS saying and all modern websites should follow that.

The next generation of this site will use a very advanced access level system and it's very exiting because that will allow for a great deal of flexibility and control over the content I want to display to certain users.

Currently there are some issues with the top menu of the forum on this template and Safari 5 is also having issues with some of the moderator tools. I've sent the details to one of the developers and hopefully he can help to solve the problem.
