Crippling glute pain after pinning was created by spike
Hey, wonder if anyone has had a similar experience...

Im using PGW and have once or twice had slight soreness in the glute 2-3 days after pinning, but last week my mate pinned me as usual and about two days later it developed into an absolutely crippling pain. My glute was noticably swollen and the skin was reddened. I batled to walk or even sit and on the third day even developed a bit of a fever. That night i took a Mypaid anti inflamm to try break the fever and settle it and the next morning it was hugely improved, but still had to inject the other side instead. Im always careful with regards to sterility, switch needles after drawing, swab generously etc.

Since then i've had no problems with subsequent injections. At the time of that shot i had jsut finished a course of antibio...

Also it felt as if the shot may have been a tiny bit too lateral in the glute and most of the pain and swelling was over the lateral aspect of the glute and extending as far as my greater trochanter...

Um, but im scared of needles...

Which product did you use? Testen can cause that, but it is not because of sterility issues, but rather the solvents used.

The SuperTest gives a nice bite due to the combination of the 5 test esters and the concentration!

Nothing to stress about.

Did you wipe the area to be pinned with an alchole swab, remember your skin has bacteria on it and if you don't clean the area with a alchole swab before pinning you can get an infection from the bacteria on your skin.

Interestingly enough, wiping the needle with a clean isopropyl alcohol swab just before inserting the needle for an intra-muscular injection dramatically reduces pain in the injection site and reduces chances of infection.I was told that by a nurse,i do it and it works all the time.

I don't like the idea of wiping the needle, to risky in my book.

yeah i rather use a fresh needle to inject and wipe the skin. But since that pin its been fine, so no clue what the issue was there, clearly not the product, maybe the more lateral site gets a bit closer to the joint capsule...

Well im off to pin myself now, hiopefully its a goodie

Well i been now on phizer Cypionate for over 13 weeks. Last week was the first time i had serious glute pains. Injection went smooth no blood no nothing. The next day i could barely walk. I have no doubt in my mind that the gear is clean so this pain that yoau had could be from many reasons. Maybe you hit a nerve or something like that.

I generally get that from Xmas shopping-think it's because we get f#cked so hard by the "Season of Goodwill" :)

Hmmm... Worrying, but if it got better its probably not an infection. You say its still a bit tender, is it still red, warm, and swollen? If this disappeared you just had a bad pin, but if its still there I would be very concerned and have it checked out.

I also would never wipe the needle, those packages are sterile before opening, no need to risk introducing infectables...

A nice bite on the super test you say? Hmmm... Gonna run two or three vials in Jan, guess I better man the fuck up! :P

Sorry if I offend you
Its just my point of view

And spike bro, always aspirate! Something must be wrong if you frequently getting blood back in the syringe while doing this... :hmm

Oh it brought joy to my life snok

@inja
The redness and swelling has gone away, the only pain i get is after much walking, think its just the scar tissue getting aggravated.

Yeah i think the blood i get when aspirating is due to the little ass slap i give myself before pinning so as to not feel the needle...
My bad, i'll stop that

Um, but im scared of needles...
